En riktig god julekake med mange nøtter. Dette er en deilig kake ikke bare til jul.
De som foretrekker en fruktig kake, kan erstatte et lag av krem med tyttebær.
250 g hasselnøtter, malte
250 g sukker
7 egg
100 g potetmel
2 ts bakepulver
600 g kremfløte
2 ts vaniljesukker
Eggehviter piske helt stiv.
Bland eggeplommer og sukker til en krem.
Tilsett nøtter, potetmel og bakepulver.
Tilslutt bland pisk eggehviter forsiktig i deigen.
Full deigen i en rund, ikke smørte men med bakepapir utformet, kakeform ( 26 cm).
Sett bakerovn på 175 grad og stek kaken 45- 50 minutter.
Når er kakebunnen er kald, dele den i tre lager.
Pisk kremfløte med vaniljesukker helt stiv. Fyller bunnen med pisket krem og fordel rest av krem over kaken. Litt av piske krem ta til dekorerer.

I am a bit unsure about the potato flour…I have seen that there is potato flour and potato starch, and I’m not sure which I should use. Would it be possible to make this recipe with regular, all-purpose flour? Why does it call specifically for potato flour? Thanks very much in advance for any help you can provide!

-Hi! Potato flour and starch are the same thing. The recipe is a family recipe at the cake has always been made with potato flour. I would guess you could use all-purpose flour. I have´t tried it. Let me know if it works out well. It is a little bit tricky to translate a recipe from german to english.
